I spent the past 24 hours on WebMD trying to figure out what’s really wrong with LeBron James that caused him to only put up 15 points (3-14 shooting), 7 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 turnovers. That’s pretty close to Scottie Pippen’s series average in the 1996 NBA Finals against Seattle – which would have gone down as a real blight on Pip’s playoff record if the Bulls hadn’t gone ahead and won anyway. Actually let’s all acknowledge that had Mo Williams, Antawn Jamison, Andy Verajao and Anthony Parker stepped up and Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett or Stub Davis failed to step up, there would be no story about LeBron’s off game.

Now WebMD said this about LeBron’s Symptoms of fatigue, joint pain, and anemia:

Good self-care is essential to managing lupus (systemic lupus erythematosus, or SLE). Learn to recognize your body’s warning signs of a flare. Warning signs may include increased fatigue, joint pain, rash, or fever. When you notice any of these signs, take steps to control your symptoms.

Stress may trigger lupus symptoms. Keep your stress level as low as you can.

There you have it. A slight case of Lupus. I didn’t finish reading the article, but I’m pretty sure James will lose all his tattoos and body hair, turn into Michael J. Fox, and win in the end.

All you need now is a cane, a limp, and a stockpile of vicodin.

Pretty sure LeBron will win in the end? He’ll never live it down if he doesn’t.

Not a good sign for tonight, coutesy of Kirk Minihane of WEEI.com:

“Monty McCutchen, Bob Delaney and Ed F. Rush will be the three officials working Thursday night’s Celtics-Cavaliers Game 6.

McCutchen and Cavaliers coach Mike Brown have a history, with the referee kicking Brown out of a game in Boston on April 4 of this season. The third-quarter ejection triggered an unusual reaction from the normally mild-mannered Brown, as his assistant coaches had to restrain him as he attempted to go on the floor to argue with McCutchen.”

Bron (almost) quadruple double –9 TO’s to go with his pts-boards-and assists didn’t quite make it.

However, basketball is a team game—-and because LeBron is so good that sometimes get’s forgotten.

Bring on Orlando. The Celt’s were up on them 3 games to 2 but ended up losing last year. But that was without the BIG Ticket.

Is DD going to write a post mortum on the collapse of the Cav’s?

I’m actually thinking a post about the return of the Boston Celtics would be more apt. The Cavs ran into a Green wall. I just need to see how we react to success in tonight’s game.

Doc was worried before last nights game. This team has had
a history this year of falling asleep after a big win
        (see game three vs.
Cleveland) and it happened multiple times during the season.
        Like the entire second half.

Hey after last night maybe the “eye of the tiger” has returned
Pierce is fierce, KG is always intense, and Sheed has awaken
        from a winters long sleep.

And I ask DD to remember that I —HAC a cognizent (sic) Celts
fan for 44 years predicted them not to get out of the
        first round.

Bill Simmons picked them to lose to Miami too – long lost brothers? I think Wade and the Heat wound up being really good practice for LeBron and the Cavs.

      • High Above Courtside Says:

yes Bill has got all the money and fame—but as you know, I’m much better looking.

        In decending order:
