Bucks Continue to Build

After a very successful 2009-2010 NBA season, which saw the Bucks narrowly lose in the first round of The NBA Playoffs, the Bucks continue to build their roster.  According to ESPN, he Bucks picked up a second round draft pick, and Corey Maggetee and his $31 million contract.  All they had to give up was Dan Gadzuric and Charlie Bell.  Definitely a great trade to pull the trigger on.

The Bucks now have a myriad of scorers on their roster.  It will be interesting to see if Scott Skiles can motivate Maggette, and if he can stay injury free.  Injuries have been the Bucks greatest problems over the past five years.

UPDATE 6/23: Bucks have traded a 2012 draft pick for Chris Douglas-Roberts.

If Scott Skiles can convince Maggette to play defense, he’ll have to be given the CoY award he deserved last year. He’ll be like a modern day Annie Sullivan coaching the Helen Keller of defense. Maggette hasn’t seen no defense he won’t shoot over. Maggette hasn’t heard no teammate shouting for help on defense. Maggette hasn’t smelled no desire to play defense. Maggette hasn’t felt the impact of taking a charge. Maggette hasn’t tasted the sweet results of playing tough defense.

Somewhere, Dennis Miller is cribbing your comment for his next stand up gig at the Judge Whitey Memorial and Golf Course in Beverly Hills.
