New Bulls Stampede from Utah

by

In addition to prized free agent power forward, Carlos Boozer, the Chicago Bulls have now signed Utah sharpshooter Kyle Korver to play the floor spacing wingman position vacated by Kirk Hinrich and former Jazz swingman, Ronnie Brewer, an athletic defender with three point range on his jumpshot.

Right now the team’s depth chart is basically 1/2 returning players from last year and 1/2 ex-Utah Jazz players:

Starters:

PG – Derrick Rose
SG – Kyle Korver
SF – Luol Deng
PF – Carlos Boozer
C – Joakim Noah

Bench:

G/F – Ronnie Brewer
PF – Taj Gibson

That’s about it right now, but it’s not bad. In free agency, they’ve already lost Brad Miller and Hakim Warrick, both of whom will be missed. The team will need a new back-up center to replace Miller and they’ll need to sign a back-up point guard. Once they get those two posts filled, they should be a strong team with a shot at pushing Atlanta and Milwaukee for the 4th seed in the Eastern Conference.
