Move Over, LeBron

Blake Griffin is the most entertaining basketball player in the NBA.  Don’t get me wrong, LeBron still knows how to impress.  He’s every bit as explosive and amazing as he was before he donned the black hat, or uniform in this case, but he lacks something Griffin has.  Exuberance.  LeBron is controlled and measured with his athleticism.  Even his signature chase down blocks are more about the perfect timing than his freakish athleticism.  Blake is wild and joyous.  He is a basketball Mjolnir.

Only thing that I would say about this is Griffin has almost no range. Anything outside of eight feet gives him problems.

I still like to see his game inside the paint.

True. But that sideline bank-shot is looking pretty promising. He’s not afraid to let it go, either.

I guess Brendan Haywood of the Mav’s must have seen the highlight clips on this site. When Griff was going in for one of his dunks last night, Haywood wiped him out, injuring Griff’s elbow, and propelling the Mav’s to a victory.

The extent of Griff’s injury is currently unknown. I hope there doesn’t become a DD jinx similar to the SI jinx moving forward.

I was wondering what happened to my fantasy points workhorse last night. ESPN says Blake is not worried about the elbow at all. That’s good news.

Somebody tell Haywood he sucks and everybody hates him now.
