The Best of All Star Weekend 2012

Some of the weekend’s best action came from the Rising Stars game.  The new format brought two exciting and distinct teams together to put on a spectacular show.  Highlights below, including Gregg Monroe with the move of the night.

The Slam Dunk contest did not get much love, despite some really good dunks.  The contest can no longer serve as the marquee event of All Star Saturday.  However, it still has a place in the evening.  It seems that the three point contest has the most stars, and diversity of positions in a contest, and is the most hotly contested event of the evening.  It’s time to flip the script on those two.  As for the Shooting Stars and Skills Challenge, they continue to be great warm up events.

The All Star game started off a little looser than usual.  But things tightened up at the end, as usual.  Some really great highlights from this weekend’s classic showcase in the video below.
